- Functional positioning in abduction
- Relief through support at the pelvis
- Continuously adjustable abduction angle
- Modular design
- Select from static or dynamic abduction models
The arm abduction orthosis is ideal for the functional treatment of post-operative and post-traumatic conditions of the shoulder-arm region including rotator cuff surgery, reduction of anterior luxations, or subcapital humerus fractures. During the course of therapy, the orthosis ensures the functional abduction positioning of the arm and provides relief of the shoulder and arm through support at the pelvis.
The orthosis has a modular structure so that it can be adapted to various therapies. For example, the static and dynamic abduction units are interchangeable because the construction of the static Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A21 and the dynamic Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A11 are largely the same. The main difference is the abduction angle setting.
The static Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A21 allows a continuous adjustment of the abduction angle from 25° to 135°.
The Dynamic Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A11 has a dynamic abduction unit that allows restricted adduction against resistance in addition to the fixed abduction angle. The abduction angle is continuously adjustable from 40° to 90°.
The movable elbow joint is connected to the shoulder joint of the orthosis through a length-adjustable splint to which the shaped body sections are screwed. Therefore the orthosis can be optimally adapted to the individual body proportions of your patient.
The broad hook-and-loop straps make it easy to securely attach the orthosis to the body and adjust it. In addition, they make it simpler for your customer to put the orthosis on and take it off. The orthosis increase comfort because it is lightweight and easy to clean.
